Ryutaro Suzuki

Pianist Ryutaro Suzuki is one of the most promising talents of his generation. He has already performed at major European festivals such as the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad (Switzerland), the Nohant Festival (France), and the Chopin Festival in Paris. He has also appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Tokyo Philharmonic, Málaga Philharmonic, Valencia Orchestra, Odessa National Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, the Paris Conservatory Orchestra, and the Louisiana Philharmonic.

Born in Kamakura, Japan’s medieval capital, he moved to Paris in 2008 to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he trained under Bruno Rigutto, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Michel Béroff, and Michel Dalberto. During his Master’s degree, he focused on Liszt’s paraphrases of operatic works. He also studied under the guidance of Marta Grabocz (Université de Strasbourg).
